It gives me great pleasure to put these 2 letters on our club main page……..
2 letters from Maggies, the charity that is currently supporting Ted Marsh and his wife Jane.
Jane did a sponsored head shave in the summer and raised a staggering £566!!! And She is still undergoing extensive Chemotherapy and still needs our support and well wishes. And a further donation from Pete Slater taken on the night of his 21st birthday celebrations.
A word from Ted; “Hi, well its finally coming to you, please find 2 letters from Maggies, for all monies collected from the generous people of Sutton Sailing club and Mansfield 735 BSAC and friends. Also special thank you to Pete Slater who donated the money collected for drinks on his birthday, instead of getting completely smashed he only got p***ed out his brain, A big thank you from Jane, to all for be so generous, Ted”
(I was clever enough to block the expletives and remove Teds address!)
Have a great week. L
After a great days diving, tomorrow looks even better!
Scalloping in the afternoon for dinner, and the wrinklies have stocked up at the talisker distillery, should be a steady evening!
Day one, cloudless skies
Here’s wishing the crew who have gone to Kyle a safe journey and safe diving. Lots of photos to show what we’re missing please…..
We’ll be running an oxygen administration course in branch on Saturday 28th November.
This is great SDC, covering life support and oxygen administration for divers. The course lasts all day and consists of theory, practice and a short exam.
We’re also opening the course up to members who are already O2 Admin trained if you fancy refreshing your skills.
Instructors will also be needed for the day.
Please contact Andy Harrison or comment below for more information.
Congratulations to Laura on completing her final Ocean Diver dive today. Well done!
Good afternoon peeps,
The Sailing club have kindly stretched out their arms to embrace the divers and have invited us all to an Italian supper on 10th October after the pool session.
Further details are on a poster displayed in the clubhouse for you to add your name to.
Have a great week. L
Good morning (just) ladies and gents,
****Save the date****
This years Annual dinner dance is on Saturday 21st November at the Red brick house (Ng20 0ew)
For those that haven’t been before, it’s a 3 course meal, bar open until midnight (just in time to catch the coach and horses before it turns into a pumpkin) Ladies, posh gown, fellas, tux and dickie bow. There’s an awards presentation followed by a DJ. And lots and lots of crazy shapes thrown on the dancefloor!
Menus will be out in a week or 2 for your perusal and deposits will be taken. If you know you can make that date, please let Dave Anstey know well in advance so he’s not running around like a headless chicken for the next 7 weeks!
Enjoy the rest of your weekend. L
Firstly, apologies if you keep getting test emails from different committee members, there are a few problems with the 2 email addresses running parallel with each other and also some members seem to be receiving emails if they are sent from a PC as a pose to one being sent on a mobile phone? I will put a spreadsheet on the notice board next Thursday and every week thereafter (then take it home to remain confidential) with the email addresses that we have for you on record, if you can amend where necessary, we will hope to have these issues ironed out as soon as possible.
Anyway, back to the real reason for this post!!!
