As you may or may not be aware, our very own club diver Jane Marsh is undergoing an intense course of Chemotherapy to help combat her very recent diagnosis for Cancer. It is an extremely challenging time for Jane, Ted and their family and as such we will be supporting them as friends and as a club, wherever we can.

Jane’s high strength of Chemotherapy means that she will be losing her hair rapidly over the not too distant future……..she has very bravely decided to shave her hair off and would kindly like to be sponsored.

Jane’s sponsored head shave (and anyone else who wishes to shave their heads…..?) will take place on the evening of the summer Barbecue, July 25th. I ask you all too dig deep.
Jane will present the sponsorship money to “Maggies”. This is a support group for people with Cancer and receiving Chemotherapy to help the patient and their families to adjust and try and cope the best they can.

***the above has been vetted by Jane and Ted. Jane added “and tell them, I’ll try not to get hair on their burgers!!”

Stay strong. L

Thank you to all those people that have responded to my emails……..There are a number of various “everyone @” addresses and some people aren’t receiving emails for one reason or another. Over the next few weeks, I shall be getting to grips with the web page and facebook and also updating where required.

If you have any suggestions (keep them clean) on what I need to add or if you have copies of printable documents for me to add, please feel free to forward them on.

Steve Cheesmond and a couple of trainees are off to Stoney this coming Wednesday, so, get in touch if you’d like to go along and suitable buddying will be arranged.
