Second and final day of the mansfield 735 south coast deep diving expedition, were supposed to dive tomorrow but the wind is due to pick up to force 5-6, so it was called off!!
Dived the duke of bucchleugh, a freighter lying in 60m (50m to the deck), sank in 1898 with a cargo of glass and china, bound for India. Stunning viz, teeming with life, congas, lobster, edible crabs, awesome! Picked up a couple of glass jars, small bowls and a cracking little shot glass!!
Day 1 of channel wrecks expedition went very well. Dived the "HMS Moldavia" a 9500 tonne armed merchant cruiser sank by UB57 in 1918. She lies on her port side in 50m of water
25 miles off the south coast. Fantastic Dive!
